Deep Canyon Tennis Club's more than just a game!

Pickleball | Deep Canyon Tennis club

Pickleball is a sport in which You can play singles or doubles using solid paddles made of composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports on a court about one fourth the size of a tennis court.  Started in the mid-60’s in the northwest, pickleball has spread throughout the country and is especially popular in senior communities.  Although a very “social” sport, it is also highly competitive with local and national tournaments and leagues.  Tennis players of all abilities also participate in Pickleball.

DCTC has six of the finest pickleball courts in the Palm Springs area with both casual and organized play throughout the week.  The DCTC pickleball community has set up exchanges with other clubs in the area and has instructors to help those new to the game to get started.  Social play starts at 8:30 am on Monday, Friday, and Saturday with intermediate Round Robin on Tuesdays at 8:45 am, Advanced Round Robin on Wednesdays at 10:45 am and Easy Play on Thursdays at 9:00am. Clinics are available from Mel Hatton by request.

There are several pickleball socials during the season including a Welcome Back Party, a Super Bowl Round Robin, a Valentines Sweetheart Round Robin and picnics.
